Bio
Athiya Manoj is a Computer Engineering junior at the University of Texas at Arlington whose interest lies at the intersection of hardware and user-centered interfaces. Despite being rooted in India, Athiya's upbringing as a global citizen has allowed her to live in various cities, providing her with a diverse and multicultural perspective that is deeply ingrained in her work. Her ideology is rooted in promoting inclusivity and diversity in her work. She is fascinated by UX/UI design and exploring embedded systems to create autonomous machines with a human-centered approach. Additionally, her interest in cognitive psychology helps her design easy-to-use interfaces. Being creative and artistic, she enjoys front-end development and uses HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to bring her design visions to life. Athiya is still exploring where she can set her feet as an engineer, designer, artist, and person. Rather than striving for a perfect fit, she embraces the uncertainty of life, and uses it to fuel her curiosity to succeed. Currently she works as a graphic designer at UTA’s Campus Recreation Department, where she is responsible for designing print and web-based media for campus events and organizations.
