Bio

Vrunda is an Aerospace Enginnering major, minoring in Mechinical Enginnering. She is currently working on an SMA project where she testing out a laser welding technique for shape memory alloy wires, preserving the transformation temperatures of welded wires. Moreover, she ran simulations models utilized to verify the experimental results, further being used to calibrate the models by finding the right set of equations. She also has a firsthand experience in laser welding and characterization of weld zone microstructure.
